A thick, tomato classic, this rogan josh chicken recipe is made with our signature simmer sauce to add a mouth-watering aroma. It’s the perfect dish for those looking for medium spiced Indian food that bursts with flavor.

Recipe calls for


  • 1 tbsp oil
  • 1 lb medium chicken breasts, diced
  • 1 jar Patak’s® Rogan Josh Curry Simmer Sauce
  • Handful cherry tomatoes (optional)
  • Fresh cilantro, chopped (garnish)


  1. Heat the oil in a medium saucepan on medium-low heat. 
  2. Add the chicken and cook, stirring often, for 5 to 7 min, until lightly browned. 
  3. Add the Patak’s® Rogan Josh Curry Simmer Sauce and simmer until the chicken is cooked through, about 15 min. 
  4. While the sauce is simmering, toss in the cherry tomatoes.
  5. Serve with a side of fluffy rice, garnish with cilantro and mop up the sauce with warm naan.
