Chutney Chicken Wings

Whether you’re in the mood for a summer Grill or a cozy baked meal, this recipe can be made in the oven or on the grill. Whichever method you choose, it will bring out the sweet flavors of mango with this crowd-pleaser.


  • 3 lbs chicken wings
  • 4 tbsp Patak’s® Butter Chicken Spice Paste
  • 3 tsp oil
  • ½ cup plain yogurt
  • Juice and zest of 1 lemon
  • ¼ cup Patak’s® Hot Mango Chutney, divided
  • Fresh cilantro, chopped (garnish)


  1. Place the chicken wings, the Patak’s® Butter Chicken Spice Paste and the oil in a resealable plastic bag.
  2. Seal the bag and shake to completely cover the wings with the marinade. Refrigerate for 4 to 6 hours.
  3. On the grill, sear the wings on high heat for approximately 2 min per side.
  4. Roast them on indirect heat or on the upper level of the Grill with a closed lid for 15 to 20 min.
  5. Ensure the Grill is at least at 450°F. Brush the wings with Patak’s® Hot Mango Chutney and finish them off on the hot grill.
  6. In a separate bowl, mix the yogurt with the lemon juice and zest.
  7. Spoon the yogurt mixture on the bottom of a serving tray and place the chicken wings on top.
  8. Garnish with fresh cilantro and Patak’s® Hot Mango Chutney.
