  • 2 tbsp oil
  • 2 cans (19 oz) chickpeas, drained and rinsed 
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tbsp ginger, minced
  • ½ cup water 
  • 1 jar Patak’s® Butter Chicken Curry Simmer Sauce
  • ¼ tsp salt 
  • ¼ tsp freshly ground pepper
  • Fresh cilantro, chopped (garnish)
  • Red chile pepper flakes (optional)


  1. Heat oil in large pan over medium-high heat. 
  2. Add the chickpeas, garlic and ginger, and sauté for 2 min. 
  3. Add the water and cook for 3 to 5 min, stirring occasionally. 
  4. Stir in the Patak’s® Butter Chicken Curry Simmer Sauce, salt and pepper. 
  5. Bring to a simmer and cook covered for 5 to 8 min, stirring occasionally. 
  6. Garnish with cilantro and red chile pepper flakes (optional).
